YA Menika (Menes x Markitanka by Karavan) was purchased at the Tersk Holland sale in 2006. She was bred by Yaccaranda Arabians in Holland.

Her sire, MENES, the Nabeg son who was originally leased to the U.S.A., later he was sold and re-exported to Belgium, he stood 2 years as Sire at the Kossack Stud and finally died at Forelock Arabians in Holland. His son with the most influence in modern Russian Arabian breeding today is Balaton, European Champion, who is the Sire of Kubinec, European and World Champion Stallion.

Her dam, MARKITANKA (Karavan x Mexica) was imported by the Kossack Stud and sold to Yaccaranda Arabians where she was their foundation broodmare.

Menika is a sweet mare with a wonderful eye and the most fantastic movement and was a great find.

Her first foal with us at Auchmillan is a bay colt by Aja Shakakhan (F.S. Bengali x G Shyamasri by Ibn Estopa).
